The One Who Loves

Having just celebrated Easter, I can think of no better time to kick this blog off. My entire motivation and inspiration for creating this blog is solely based on the love of Christ. There is no other expression of His love that is more exquisite than His willingness to endure the Cross for our sakes. Who is this person we call Jesus Christ?

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. Colossians 1: 15-20 (NLT)

The Savior, the Messiah, the Word made flesh, the Alpha and the Omega. We must understand His greatest before we can understand His sacrifice. Jesus is all-powerful, all-knowing, gracious, merciful, kind, patient, selfless, generous, faithful, steadfast, unwavering, our provider, and the ultimate healer. Jesus is love.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 (NLT)

Jesus, because of His perfect love for us, offers relationship the way it is meant to be experienced. You will not have true happiness, true satisfaction, true prosperity, true health and well-being outside of Him. With Him, you will have all of these things and more. Think on it.

Father God, I pray that those who seek hope, happiness, healing, or forgiveness -find Jesus. He was, is, and will always be Your most precious expression of love. In Christ’s name, I pray.

Blessings!
