Seven Verses for Your Week!

Let’s take a few minutes to start our week off right. This post has seven scriptures – one for each day! Let these verses speak to you and create a sense of peace and hope within you that you may not have experienced last week.

Sunday – The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26

Monday – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Tuesday – For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning. Psalm 30:5

Wednesday – Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Thursday – Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Friday – So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13

Saturday – Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” John 6:35

I believe God never wastes a word. When we read scripture, we sometimes think that we have happened upon them. But I believe they are put before us for a reason. When we slow down and allow God to work on our hearts through the words we read, something changes on the inside of us. Each change brings us closer and closer to Him. And that is just where I want to be! How about you?
